Other Davidoff brands such as Zino, Zino Platinum and Avo are produced at OK Cigars, also in the Dominican Republic. The new cigar is also the only one with full Cuban seed tobacco produced by Davidoff. The tobacco in the Winston Churchill is from the Dominican Republic, Peru and Nicaragua, and finished with an Ecuadoran sun-grown wrapper.

Escape With LA Traviata By CAO

The La Traviata Cigars by CAO originall started in the 20th Century in Cuba. Now, it’s been 100 years and CAO is attempting to bring the name and the feel of the cigars back to the USA and the rest of the world. The La Traviata name and the artwork has remained intact. CAO decided, after smoking many brands of cuban cigars, that it would like to have a cigar that represents the cigars from Cuba. The La Traviata line of cigars has an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a Cameroon Binder, and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Each cigar in this line starts with peppery and leather notes. The cigars then move to a richer flavor of cedar and leather. The cigar ends with a creamy, smooth finish.

Cigar Architecture

Cigar Architecture is crucial in any cigar. It is especially critical in making a Straight Ligero cigar. Not All tobacco burns at the same rate. Ligeros are the fullest body, slowest burning of the tobaccos. Viso is a medium flavored with better burn qualities. Seco is lighter flavored and quickest to burn. It is the careful arrangement of these tobaccos that allows a cigar to burn true.

Flavor Range refers to the low, medium, and high range of flavors in a cigar blend. Typically these ranges are achieved by the three aforementioned tobaccos. In making a Straight Ligero cigar we are delivering our low, medium and high range all from Ligero tobaccos. Still we must carefully arrange these Ligeros with other tobaccos for a true burn. The other tobaccos make no significant contribution to flavor.

Wrapper leaf is typically credit with delivering up to 60% of the flavor of a cigar, depending on the ring gauge. This is mostly true. In a Straight Ligero cigar it plays an important but reduced role as a result of the three powerful Ligeros.

El Museo By La Flor Dominicana

These fine cigars are made with Dominican filler and binder grown at our farm in La Canela. The delicious wrapper is a rare Habano grown by a small farmer in the Dominican Republic. It was a pleasure to work with Ruben Toledo to help support El Museo del Barrio

Patriarch By Perdomo

Perdomo Patriarch was crafted to honor Nick Perdomo, Sr., a man known for his bold business skills and superior cigar-making abilities. Naturally, only a bold cigar of the highest quality would do, so his son, Nick Jr., created a scrumptious medium to full-bodied blend available in both Corojo and Maduro. Chock full of aged, long-leaf tobaccos grown in Nicaragua’s three growing regions – Esteli, Jalapa, and Condega – the Patriarch showcases traditional Cuban vitolas and imparts an eventful and satisfying experience for the senses. Rich layers of deep, dark flavors are present, including hearty spices, coffee undertones, and a touch of bittersweet chocolate. The finish is long and luxurious, completing a savory cigar from Tabacalera Perdomo that’s sure to delight.

Le Bijou By Don Pepin

Le Bijou is French for “the jewel,” and 1922 refers to the year Jose “Pepin” Garcia’s father was born. The original My Father was created in secret by Pepin’s son Jaime, who conceived of the cigar as a tribute to his father. This new creation is Pepin’s way of honoring his own father. The new cigars have an all-Nicaraguan blend. The wrapper is dark, called Habano Oscuro by the company. The original My Father has Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves, but an Ecuadoran wrapper grown from Habano seed.

Murcielago

The name, Murcielago, Spanish for “Bat,” came about when Ortega and Espinosa were on a visit to Mexico, and were taken to see caves, literally, filled with bats.

These medium to full bodied cigars have a Nicaraguan filler; Mexican binder and world renowned Mexican Maduro wrapper. Packaged in traditional wood boxes of twenty (2) cigars with paper edging, the logo of the brand is a stylized bat, reminiscent of Batman!
